This is what I received from Half.com. I didn't cancel anything on my side. In fact I was pissed that you had cancelled this. When I get the book in the mail I will decide what I'm going to do. I'll get back to you then.

first of all, are you new to how ebay and half.com work because you must be doing something wrong if this is the second time you've gone through this. i don't care how many times you are hitting the confirm button either. i got an email from them saying YOU cancelled. did you get anything similar from them? i don't even think i can cancel it on my end after i have bought it. because its user error on your end, i've been put in a difficult position because after i got that cancellation email, i bought a different book online. so i feel an obligation to purchase their book. i did get your book yesterday by the way and i'd say its condition is far from "brand new." did you see the tips of the pages before making your claim? i don't feel i should have to pay your full price for what i asked for. so i'm going to keep the book and i will pay you just the $59 price for the book because it was not brand new like you said. there are no b of a's out here so you'll have to come up with a different idea to get your money.

hahaha. thanks for the email reverend. funny that you mention all that crap sine when you go online it never shows a sale, simply that you cancelled it. so basically you sent me a book for no reason at all because we had no sale. that "receipt" you claim came with the book is nothing more than a packing slip with my address on it. i've never seen any receipt or contract of our "sale." (a receipt would include proof of me purchasing something) you still didn't explain yourself as to why my book is not new. and don't get all pissed at me for not calling you reverend. in fact i didn't call you anything my last emails. i could care less about your status and i'm not a member of your church so i was unaware of such requirements when i speak to you. and your cheap threats won't work. georgia's code says that a theft of such a low amount like this valuable book will be considered a misdemeanor. GA Code Ann. 16-8-12(a) 2004. so you go ahead and file that "warrant." i work for a police dept here and i guarantee they could care less about your $60 book. no one is going to come storming through my door so they can get your money. this is between you and i. lets address the issues without crying to the police. or go to the police if that makes you happy. you'll just waste your time. i want to keep the book for $59. there are no bank of america's where i live so i don't know how you expect me to put any money anywhere. i told you this in my last email if cared to read it. your method of payment is impossible so figure out something else. i'll mail you a check or money order or whatever. if you don't like my $59 offer, you can: 1. admit the book is not brand new condition and out of the kindness of my heart i might consider paying the entire original offer; or 2. you can pay me money to ship the book back to you since after you cancelled it we no longer had a deal and i had no use for the book. and if you think that i'm just some scam artist on the internet trying to con people, you are mistaken. i've been an ebay user before you probably starting using the internet. i have 100% feedback and have never ran into a problem such as you. have a great day reverend.

you mail me my money at the above address and you are a con artist and thank to your emails it is federal so go try practicing law because I have you admitting you received the book. you did not cancel it you opened it and did not returnto sender so we do have a valid contract and theft by taken by US mail is a felony now send me my money and we can move on youhave my address above.
govern yourself accordingly,

yeah i received the book cuz you sent it to me. why did you send it to me? the order was cancelled (i still have this email from half.com showing your cancellation). so we are talking contracts now? the contract seized to exist once you cancelled the order. then i got a book in the mail from you without any new offer. basically without any contract or deal in place (because you cancelled it) the book was just something you decided to send to me for whatever reason. and by me opening it does NOT mean i agreed to any contract. in order for me to accept your offer, i would have had to pay you money, not open a package. and, the package was addressed to me. of course i'm going to open it. i had a number of books on order so it could have been any one of them. i guess normal people aren't as overly cautious as you when opening their packages in the mail, for fear that they might be accepting a contract. thats not how it works buddy. again, opening a package is not me accepting anything. had i transferred money to you, then that would constitute me accepting your offer. and what contract are you even going to present to any court? i'd certainly like to see this. there was also no offer and acceptance during our emails back and forth. so all you have on your side is a cancelled half.com contract. and never have i said that i'm keeping your book without compensating you. you continue to avoid the subject of the book's condition. is that because you know i'm right? if you want to talk about contracts, then you should be aware that what you sold me is not what was originally offered. you offered me a "brand new" book, hardly what i received. you speak of me being a con-artist, yet you lie about what you are really selling. and for this reason, i am happy to return the book, for you paying the shipping costs. and broken contracts are a civil matter, not criminal. no laws were broken by me opening mail addressed to me. are you just making this stuff up as you go? do you have statutes, either state or federal, that you are going off of or do you practice law in your spare time from being a reverend? why would you even send it to me before getting your payment? thats rediculous. this is why people wait until they get their money before sending out stuff. i know its hard for you to admit, but the mistakes that you have made in this matter are piling up against you. i'll be happy to send you $59 to your address. i will try and get it out tomorrow or the next day. your feedback on half.com shows that you've done one sale prior to mine. again, i must stress that you get some help figuring out how to properly sell things online so that you don't make the same mistakes for the third time. and try using periods in your emails. having a hard time figuring out what you are saying.

ALL THIS EMAILING IS A WASTE OF MY TIME SO EITHER YOU SEND THE MONEY OR I WILL PRESS CHARGES I, AM, WITH THIS MATTER. DO NOT WASTE MY TIME BY SENDING ME EMAILS YOU HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT THE LEGAL SYSTEM SON IF YOU WERE IN ONE OF THE PENITENTIARIES I VISIT YOU WOULD BE SINGING A DIFFERENT STORY SON DONA THINK I WILL LET THIS MATTER GO. PERIOD YOU OWE ME MONEY PAY IT AND STOP WASTING MY TIME. IF U DID NOT NEED THE BOOK YOU WOULD HAVE NOT OPENED IT. AND U WERE AWARE IN YOUR EMAILS THAT IT WAS COMING AND I INFORMED YOU AHEAD OF TIME OF WHAT TO DO WITH THE BOOK ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS NO ACCEPT IT. YOU REEP WHAT YOU SOUL...................

yes, he got the last word in the matter, but still only got a $59 check in the end. how did i get this lucky? word to the wise, only buy from those with more than 1 feedback. obviously. guess i should have known better. i doubt i've heard the end of his holiness. once he gets his check i'm sure he'll be spouting off more incorrect sayings. by the way, was i wrong in what i did? many will think yes since it was really over like $9. some won't cuz for me, as usual it was a matter of principle. oh well. the moral of the story is to not screw around with descriptions of what you are selling. the end. i hope.
